Seven Sisters author Lucinda Riley passed away

The Hermanus Library is joining the literary world in mourning the death of Lucinda Riley, bestselling author, known especially for the international phenomenon of the Seven Sisters series.

Lucinda Riley’s family released a statement confirming her death due to cancer.

She touched the lives of all those she met, and those who turned the pages of her stories.

In Lucinda’s own words:

“Through the pain and joy of the journey, I have learnt the most important lesson life can offer, and I am glad of it. The moment is all we have.”

The Seven Sisters series can be borrowed from the Hermanus Library. Due to the high demand for her books, members are welcome to make a reservation at R6.50 per book.

The COVID-19 temporary library hours for Hermanus Library are Mondays to Thursdays from 10:00 – 15:30 and Fridays 10:00 – 13:00 (for sanitising purposes). Lunch break between 13:00 – 13:45.
